Architect Neil Denari, best known for his theoretical writings and teachings as the former head of the LA based Sci-Arc, will see his first major freestanding structure rise in New York City in a red hot location next to the High Line, the elevated abandoned rail line now being transformed in to a linear, lyrical park. The sculptural fourteen story residential tower, named HL23 after its location on West 23rd next to the High Line, will rise to a reverse taper and cantilever over the rail beds permitting breathtaking views of the High Line for its occupants.
