Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, South Africa
The Moses Mabhida Stadium and Precinct is regarded as an iconic project for the City of Durban in South Africa. The stadium was developed for the 2010 World Cup soccer tournament. The design of the stadium and precinct was undertaken by the iBola Lethu Consortium with the lead urban designers responsible for the design of the precinct being IYER Urban Design Studio. Working within a multidisciplinary team, IYER have produced a precinct that not only accommodated the needs of the 2010 event, but which leaves a legacy for current and future residents of the city. >>>
