3D-printed 'Sand Babel' skyscrapers for deserts
Sand Babel is a desert city concept with several tall skyscrapers built using the material that surrounds them: sand. The towers are created using a massive solar-powered 3D printer, forming shapes that have been inspired by tornadoes and the mushroom rocks found in the desert. Each treelike structure is connected to the other buildings through a series of partially buried tubes that form the roots of the building, while the trunk contains housing for the residents. >>>
