There are three large buildings of different architectural style periods and dates stuck together to form the Bloomingdale's flagship department store in Manhattan.
This family residence is sited on a panoramic bend of the Brisbane River, engaging the hill upon which it sits to form a private retreat. Piecing the hill and ascending the stairs, a sequenced view unfolds: the parklands beyond, then the river below and finally the courtyard residence; a contemporary two-storey dwelling sheltered by a parasol roof.
