Project Brief
Replace an existing care home with a modern, fit for purpose, specialist dementia and nursing home for the elderly. The scheme would need to be able to respond to the operational aspects and efficiencies of a care home ensuring adaptability to deliver effective person-centred care into the future.
Outcome
The proposed home sought to enhance the visual appearance of the site by regenerating it back into a sustainable and meaningful use, which meets a clearly identified care need and complements the existing neighbourhood. The proposed building aims to provide a high standard of living and communal accommodation which exceeds the current standards of expectation.
Construction work started on site in 2018 and is due for completion toward the end of 2019.
The design received a finalist award in the “Care Village Category” at Pinders 2018.
