Lighthouse complex by 3XN Studio, Aarhus, Denmark

The idea of Lighthouse is to create an attractive and versatile urban area on the harbor front in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city. Openness, vividness and multiplicity characterize the Lighthouse which is mix a high-rise structure with small groups of terraced houses to ensure smaller community ambiance and safety. Adding an afternoon sun lit seaside promenade with cafés, shops, and a large square for leisure activities, the master plan emphasizes interaction of private, semi-public and public areas, with public access to the view from the sky bar at the top of the tower building.
