Florida Station, West Palm Beach, USA

West Palm Beach is now in on the action for All Aboard Florida now that SOM has unveiled plans for this third station in the privately funded rail network. Connecting Miami through Ft. Lauderdale up to West Palm Beach, All Aboard Florida will eventually lead into Orlando and eliminate congestion on regional highways as well as significantly reduce carbon emissions with increased mass transit use. This third and final station designed by SOM in collaboration with Zyscovich Architects mirrors the other two stations in concept, form and materiality with bright, daylit interiors and clearly integrated into the fabric of the surrounding cities.
