March 2011 saw the grand opening of the first phase of Conran and Partners' 20 hectare urban regeneration project in the Futako Tamagawa neighbourhood of Tokyo.

Won in limited international competition in 2004, the project located on the south-west edge of the city alongside the Tamagawa River, is currently Tokyo's single largest development and when completed will provide a total of 400,000 sq m of retail, office, leisure and residential buildings, as well as a new city park.
