World's strangest buildings (Video clip)

The cities of Rotterdam and Helmond in The Netherlands carry a breeze of unconventionality and innovation, thanks to the Cube Houses.

These cubic properties are tilted houses featuring double-glassed windows, zinc roof panels, and a vibrant yellow color all resting on hexagonal panels which gives a modernist edge to the city.

Casa Batllo in Barcelona, Spain enlivens the Art Nouveau style of architecture. Remodeled from 1904 to 1906, the exposed bay windows of this structure seem to have been shaped in the form of skulls while the supporting pillars simulate bones; giving Casa Batlló an eerie yet stunning appearance.

The Dali Theatre and Museum is a fervent stamp of Salvador Dali, who is recognized among the world's greatest surrealist artists. It graces the Spanish city of Figueres.

Catalonia and embodies the same striking and bizarre surrealism in its architecture and is purported as the world's largest surrealistic structure. A prodigy of modern architecture is the Casa Mila, better known in Catalan as "The Quarry". Completed in 1912, this highly imaginative residential complex boasts unique yet functional modernist statues and sculptures incorporated into the architecture of the roof.

The unrivaled building complex of Hundertwasserhaus in Magdeburg, Germany has been reputed as a prime expressionist landmark. Onion shaped domes, vibrant mixes of color, odd angles, and its pink icing all contribute to the buildings well deserved notoriety.
