The Nobel Foundation has presented plans for a new cultural and educational hub in Stockholm dedicated to promoting the Nobel Prize's legacy in science, literature, and peace. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects, the building will occupy a prominent waterfront site at Slussen, connecting key parts of the city and offering scenic views over the water. Its architecture consists of four linked volumes inspired by historic merchant houses, complete with roof terraces and a welcoming public entrance area. Construction is planned to begin in 2027 and conclude by 2031.
