Built on a reclaimed island linking Hanoi's West Lake and Đầm Trị Lake, the Isola della Musica features curved concrete shells inspired by pearl cultivation, creating a lightweight structure in pure compression. Ribbed openings allow natural light, while a ceramic tile rain-screen enhances acoustics and gives an iridescent facade that shifts with light. Housing an 1,800-seat opera hall and 1,000-seat convention space, it uses protective berms for eco-friendly construction from the water.
