Heatherwick Studio has revealed plans for its first project in Thailand. The mixed-use development, named Hatai, is located in Bangkok’s Silom district and will see the construction of two new hotels and public space improvements. In total, the development will comprise over 300 rooms, a wellness center, a ballroom, and conference facilities. The design draws inspiration from traditional Thai lanterns, incorporating stacked, illuminated forms. The scheme is expected to be completed by 2027.
