Coolidge Corner Theater, Brookline, Massachusetts, USA

"The Coolidge" is a beloved neighborhood theater for independent film lovers, and one of Boston's few remaining art deco movie theaters. The Coolidge is planning a 12,000 square foot expansion to add two additional theaters, a community space, and a new lobby. The new theater addition will extend the venue with a contemporary structure that translates the original art deco vocabulary into a contemporary architectural expression in order to produce a new, very Coolidge, synthetic whole.
