Young Neruda House Museum, Temuco, Chile
Young Neruda House Museum, Temuco, Chile
The Young Neruda House Museum in Temuco is an architectural space that aims to connect visitors with the poet's memory through a continuous journey around a central courtyard. This courtyard features a tree that evokes Neruda's memory when he used to gaze at a similar tree from his window, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the poetic universe of the writer. The north facade of the building stands out with its colorful stained glass windows, reminiscent of the multicolored hues of the beetle, an insect that deeply influenced the young Pablo Neruda. These stained glass windows refract sunlight throughout the day, creating a light and shadow effect that adds to the magical and dreamlike atmosphere of the place.
