Hotel “4rest” in Kiev (Ukraine), architect – Dmitriy Litovchenko, used software: ArchiCAD, 3d Max. Presented hotel complex is projected on the side of a road of Brest-Litovskiy highway which is part of an international transport corridor to the west of Kyiv (Ukraine). A planning area is located in the recreating area of city. Easterly it is dissociated from a city by Svyatoshinski prudi, and westering there is an old pine-wood. The comfort of location is also conditioned that alongside is housing array with the infrastructure of the communal and cultural and welfare providing. Through such location of the object combines in itself functions both wayside a motel and city hotel, and also by a place for comfortable out-of-town rest. Territory of hotel complex occupies 1,8 hectares. After a function it is divided into the followings areas: entrance, economic, recreational (areas of quiet and active rest). It is foreseen on territory of hotel: the routes for transport and foot-ways, underground stand, stand of tourist busses, economic ground, pool of whole-year exploitation, terrace of internal court, antisun covers, sporting and child's grounds, arbour. A plan decision of building of hotel is conditioned a desire to create the favourable orientation of all numbers (on a southeast), for providing of insolation, and also opening of picturesque view, on a lake. The basic idea of composition project is combination of space of vestibule group and half-atrium with an internal court, opened toward a lake. The opened transition from internal space in external is provided due to the complete stained-glass window panning of partition between atrium and by a court. A central stair which is located in atrium is involute on the broken spiral, and executed from easy metallic constructions. A glass panoramic elevator is also used. In a socle floor an underground stand takes place on 21 car-stands, workshop of technical service and light maintenance, storage and technical facility. The also projected sauna is with shower-baths and locker rooms which work in a complex with the pool of whole-year exploitation. The cell of housings numbers it is grouped in pairs, according to their capacity and class it is placed to on floor with the group of apartments of service. There is an internet-cafe (7 places) on a ground floor, on the second is cafe-restoran (35-50 places), the glass construction of winter garden takes place on an on-the-road roof. The volume-spatial decision of hotel is based on the characteristic individual exposure of separate elements, as: housings numbers, cafes, underground part, stair and rampants, terraces, balconies, elevator mine, „winter garden”, atrium and internal court. Every separate element has the original features and own „sounding". Therefore from different sides and different foreshortenings building is perceived on different and, even sometimes causes contradiction in a scale and character of forms. Such game of values and forms used intentionally, for creation of the special feeling of space which causes harmonious combination of contrasting elements in one whole. Such conception is conditioned character of locality, that and pushed on an idea creation of hotel under the name of „4rest". Different factors influence on this obekt both natural environment (lake, meadows, forest) and artificial origin (passing of an international transport corridor, nearby height building, low water-purifying building and other hotel, technical constructions). Therefore the name of „4rest" has the double sounding, reading and value: 4rest = forest and 4rest = for rest. This idea found a reflection in creation of external publicity construction - steel semilucent a cube which is revolved about vertical axis and luminous from within at night. Image and value-spatial decision of hotel fully conceptions of significant recreation of essence of one object answer in this environment. It achives due to combination of forms of rectilineal geometry", broken and circular lines, use of contrasting colors (white and black, red and blue), application of green, as a primary color of the vegetable world.
