Pyramid Tower by Daniel Libeskind, Jerusalem, Israel |
|
Conceived by Daniel Libeskind, who created Berlin’s Jewish Museum and New York City’s World Trade Center master plan, the Pyramid Tower will be a 26-storey, mixed-use building. It will be constructed next to the Mahane Yehuda market in the centre of the Israeli city, atop of the ruins of the old Eden theatre.
Designed in conjunction with local architect Yigal Levi, the tower will contain 200 luxury apartments, a boutique hotel, and a rooftop restaurant and observatory that will offer sweeping views. With a height of 105 metres, it will be just 16 metres shorter than the city's tallest building – the 121-metre-high Holyland Tower 1. |
